Material Description
Our trailer axle camshafts are primarily manufactured using 40Cr alloy steel and 45# carbon steel, selected for their superior mechanical properties. 40Cr alloy steel offers high tensile strength (≥980 MPa) and excellent fatigue resistance, ideal for heavy-load applications that demand long-term reliability. 45# carbon steel is chosen for cost-effective, medium-load scenarios, providing balanced hardness and ductility after heat treatment. All raw materials undergo strict quality inspection, including chemical composition analysis and non-destructive testing, to eliminate impurities and ensure compliance with international industry standards. The surface of each camshaft is treated with anti-corrosion coating, enhancing resistance to moisture, road salt, and industrial pollutants in harsh operating environments.
Production Process
1.Raw Material Cutting: Raw steel bars are precisely cut to the required length using CNC cutting machines, ensuring dimensional accuracy from the initial stage.
2.Rough Machining: The cut blanks are processed via CNC lathes to shape the basic structure, including the cam lobes, shaft body, and mounting ends.
3.Precision Machining: CNC milling and grinding machines refine the cam profile and shaft diameter to meet tight tolerance requirements, guaranteeing smooth contact with brake components.
4.Heat Treatment: The semi-finished camshafts undergo quenching at 850℃ and tempering at 200℃ to optimize surface hardness and core toughness, preventing brittle fracture under stress.
5.Surface Finishing: Polishing and anti-corrosion coating are applied to improve surface smoothness and extend service life.
6.Quality Inspection: Each finished camshaft is tested for dimensional accuracy, hardness, and surface integrity using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and hardness testers. Non-conforming products are rejected immediately.
7.Packaging & Storage: Qualified camshafts are packaged in moisture-proof containers and stored in a controlled environment to avoid damage before shipment.
